Detoxifying is a process by which toxins and other unwanted substances are removed or flushed from the body by various means including use of detox drinks. These drinks include the following:
Detox Drinks – Lemon Water
Lemons in their composition contain various substances which play an important role in neutralizing and detoxifying the system. This is made by extracting lemon juice from ripe lemons and then mixing the two before taking the drink. This should be taken in the morning before taking any other meal and in some cases the drink can be used an hour before and/or after meals as this will enhance the effectiveness of the drink in cleansing the system. Lemon water can either be taken cold or warm depending on the weather and desire.
Detox Drinks – Ginger Tea
Ginger is commonly used as a home remedy for various conditions including detoxifying the blood and system as a whole. Ginger has the ability to soothe irritations which may have occurred in the stomach through use of other foods such as pepper. Ginger employs the principle of perspiration to remove the injuries and substances which may be in the system. This is usually administered by adding parts of ginger into tea followed by sipping it slowly. The tea should be taken three times a day most importantly before going to bed.
Fresh apple juice can also be used as one of the detox drinks.
This is because fresh apple juice is very rich in anti-oxidants which are very essential in flushing the kidneys and the liver off toxins and other undesirable substances which may be lodged there. The juice should be taken before taking any meal as this will make it detoxify the system better and more easily unlike when taken along food which will inhibit its effectiveness.
Peppermint tea as one of detox drinks
peppermint is a rich source of antioxidants and other nutrients which when taken into the body, they are able to flush toxins in the colon hence bringing healing to the system.
Aloe vera juice is also another important drink that can be used in detoxifying the system more particularly restoring the colon ultimately bringing healing to the body. In some cases aloe vera juice is used in reducing inflammation in the body which is very important in detoxification.
Raw cabbage juice; cabbage juice is rich in vitamin C and glutamine( amino acid) which are essential when one wants to detoxify the system or body. The juice is extracted from cabbage and taken fresh without adding anything. The juice may not taste good initially but as one gets used, it becomes very nice and the juice should be utilized before taking meals.
Carrot juice; carrots are rich in vitamin A, anti-oxidants and other minerals which are important in flushing out toxins from the body. This is prepared by first peeling the carrots then size reduction and finally extracting the juice which can be taken along side meals.
Dandelion tea can be used as one of detox drinks. This tea is rich in anti-oxidants and other anti-inflammatory properties which help in rejuvenating the liver and also cleanses the blood.
